Soccer Ball Quilt Pattern

My name is Monica and here is the story of my soccer ball quilt.

My son wanted to give a gift to a family member who had, at that time, just had a baby. The couple are avid Manchester United soccer fans. My son wanted me to make a quilt that was an actual soccer ball shape and he wanted me to include a soccer team reference.

My sewing skills are great, but my quilting experience is relatively new. I really had no idea how to go about making this quilt and the internet didn't have any help for me.

So what does anyone do when they are faced with a challenge...figure it out yourself of course. Here is how my quilt turned out. I hope it is easy to follow and you can make a soccer ball quilt yourself.
