Pfaff 7570 and embroidery unit

Betrayed by Pfaff.
I absolutely loved my Pfaff, after I became accustomed to it. It was my "Big Beautiful Pfaff"-- and use it I did.
I sewed jackets, pants, dresses, shirts, blouses, costumes. I pieced quilts and quilted them. I made cushions and curtains. I even embroidered a few items.
Then, the multi-function display window started to fail--numbers were not always complete. I took it to two different sewing machine dealers for analysis and repair.
The first shop, where I had originally purchased my Pfaff, told me that a new part was needed and that Pfaff no longer produced that part for my machine. A used part could be found on-line, but it was quite pricey. The second dealer just did not seem interested in taking on the repair job, and, in fact, failed to re-attach the pieces which had been removed during the analysis.
In their defense, they did put my Pfaff back together, but I had to make more trips to the shop, which I should not have had to make.
I am sorely disappointed with Pfaff not supporting their 10+ year-old 7570's. So, I am looking for another non-Pfaff sewing machine with which to fall in love.
