Fat Quarter Raffle

These raffles are held as part of the Guild Meeting.

Choose a color or type of fabric for each month the raffle will be held and publish this information in the Guild's newsletter and/or website.

To participate, a member brings one fat quarter in the color or type for that particular month. For every fat quarter a member brings, that member gets a 'chance' to win all the fat quarters brought in for the month.

If she brings in five FQs, she gets five chances to win. We use the two part, double raffle tickets. Give one part to the quilter for each fat quarter. Put the other half in a bag to draw from when the winning ticket is pulled.

If a member forgets her fat quarter but still wants to participate, the guild has FQs for sale in either the color or the type listed for that month.

This is a lot of fun AND fun to win.

If your Guild does a FQ raffle basket for your Quilt Show, you may want to suggest to members that FQs they don't want can go to the Guild for the raffle basket. Or better yet, when the member brings a FQ for the meeting raffle, why not suggest she donate one at the same time for the Quilt Show Raffle Basket?
