"John Deere" quilt

John Deere Green

My youngest great-grandson fell through the cracks in my quilting room floor and had to wait a few years for his own quilt. I finally buckled down and resolved to make him "something".

I had this piece of "John Deere" scrap and some frogs in "John Deere" green that wanted to be together in my mind.
The quilt is all flannel and after I finished the center, I felt it was too small even for a play quilt.

I decided to add a puffy border with an old flannel sheet. I cut some 12" wide strips and added them all around. Then I stuffed them with some thick batting and sewed "channels" to keep them in place.

I think the end result will be cuddly and fun for him.
